Privacy Notice
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how CausaQuant (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use causaquant.com and the self-serve dashboard at /app (together, the “Service”). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: your email address and authentication credentials, created when you sign up.
- Subscription and usage data: which assets you subscribe to, subscription status (active, provisioning, paused, cancelled), and basic usage of the dashboard.
- Billing data: confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, invoice and subscription identifiers, and your billing country (for tax purposes). We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, or full payment credentials — those go directly to our payment processor.
- Contact form data: name, email, and any message you submit through a contact form on the marketing site.
2. Why we collect it
We use this data to:
- Create and secure your account, and authenticate your sessions;
- Provision, run, and grant access to the asset dashboards and reports you subscribe to;
- Process payments, apply taxes, and manage subscription billing and renewals;
- Send transactional email, such as sign-up verification codes and billing receipts;
- Respond to support and contact requests;
- Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers needed to operate the Service:
- Supabase — provides our authentication and database infrastructure. It stores your account email and subscription state.
- Vercel — hosts the Service.
- Dodo Payments — processes payments as merchant of record. Your card details are sent directly to Dodo Payments and never pass through or are stored on our servers.
- Resend — sends transactional email on our behalf, such as account verification codes.
Market data providers that supply the price data underlying our models receive no user data from us — that relationship is one-directional (data in, not out).
We may also disclose personal data if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CausaQuant, our users, or others.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use authentication session cookies (set by Supabase’s server-side auth helpers) to keep you signed in. These are strictly functional and are not used for advertising. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The Service uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which are privacy-oriented, do not use cookies, and do not track you across other sites, to help us understand aggregate traffic and page performance.
5. Data retention
We retain account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing and tax records) for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@causaquant.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law (such as the right to data portability or to object to certain processing); we will honor valid requests to the extent required by law.
7. International data transfers
We and our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple countries. As a result, your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country other than the one in which you reside, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
10. Contact
For any privacy question or request, email contact@causaquant.com.
